When splitting a log into 8 pieces, how does it keep the top and bottom splits close to equal?

Do you have to set the height for each log? i.e. if you run a 12" dia log the center would be 6". Do you need to change the setup when switching to a 20" dia log?

Pretty sweet machine!

Do we have to set the tallness for any log? i.e. if we run the 12″ dia record the core would be 6″. Do we need to shift the setup when switching to the 20″ dia log?

Pretty honeyed machine!
